About MoneyTap Pakistan

Is MoneyTap Pakistan the same company as MoneyTap India? +
No. MoneyTap Pakistan is a completely independent product operated by ZANDA Financial Services (Private) Limited, a Pakistani Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) licensed by SECP (license number SECP/LRD/123/ZFSPL/2023-39). It has no corporate relationship, ownership, or operational connection to the Indian "MoneyTap" service (operated by Freo / MWYN Tech Private Limited). The two products have different loan terms, different interest rates, different repayment schedules, and serve different markets under different regulators. Learn more on our About page.
Who operates MoneyTap in Pakistan? +
MoneyTap Pakistan is operated by ZANDA Financial Services (Private) Limited, a Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) registered with and licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The official license number is SECP/LRD/123/ZFSPL/2023-39 and the company is listed on the SECP whitelist of approved digital lending applications.
Is MoneyTap legal and safe to use in Pakistan? +
Yes. MoneyTap is fully legal in Pakistan. It is licensed by SECP under the NBFC Regulations and appears on the SECP official whitelist of approved digital lending apps. The platform follows AML/KYC verification standards and complies with the Personal Data Protection Ordinance (PDPO) 2023 for data security.

Eligibility & Requirements

Who can apply for a MoneyTap loan in Pakistan? +
Any Pakistani national aged 18 or above with a valid CNIC and a stable source of income can apply. Salaried employees, self-employed individuals, and small business owners are all eligible. You also need an active JazzCash, Easypaisa, or bank account to receive funds.
What documents do I need to apply? +
You only need your CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) and a valid Pakistani mobile number. No salary slips, no bank statements, no utility bills, and no guarantor are required for the standard application. The entire process is paperless and completed inside the app.
Do I need a guarantor or collateral? +
No. MoneyTap is an unsecured personal loan product. No guarantor, no collateral, no security deposit, and no reference contacts are required.

Loan Amounts, Terms & Costs

What is the loan amount range on MoneyTap Pakistan? +
MoneyTap Pakistan offers personal loans from Rs.1,000 (minimum) to Rs.50,000 (maximum). First-time borrowers typically start at a lower limit, and the available credit increases with on-time repayment history.
What repayment periods (tenure) are available? +
MoneyTap Pakistan offers three repayment options: 15 days (1 installment), 30 days (2 installments), or 45 days (3 installments). You choose the tenure when applying, based on what fits your repayment capacity.
What is the markup rate (interest) for MoneyTap loans? +
MoneyTap charges a markup (service fee) of 0.3% per day on the principal amount. For a Rs.10,000 loan repaid over 30 days, the total markup would be Rs.900. The exact amount is shown clearly in the app before you confirm the loan — there are no hidden charges or additional service fees.
Are there any hidden fees or processing charges? +
No. MoneyTap follows a transparent pricing policy. The only charge is the daily markup of 0.3%. There are no upfront processing fees, no service fees deducted before disbursement, no annual fees, and no surprise charges. The total repayment amount shown in the app is exactly what you pay.

Application & Disbursement

How long does the application and approval take? +
The application form takes about 3 minutes to complete. Approval is automated and typically returned within 5 minutes during business hours. There are no manual review queues for standard applications.
How quickly will I receive the funds after approval? +
Once approved, funds are disbursed to your registered wallet or bank account within 12 hours, and in most cases within a few hours. Disbursement happens 24/7, including weekends and public holidays.
Which payment methods does MoneyTap support for disbursement? +
MoneyTap disburses loans through JazzCash, Easypaisa, and major Pakistani commercial bank accounts (including HBL, UBL, MCB, Allied Bank, Bank Alfalah, and others). You choose your preferred method during the application.

Repayment & Account

How do I repay my MoneyTap loan? +
Repayment is made directly through the MoneyTap app using JazzCash, Easypaisa, or bank transfer. The app sends reminders before each installment due date and provides a one-tap repayment option. You can also pay early without any penalty.
Can I prepay or close my loan early? +
Yes. You can prepay all or part of your loan at any time before the due date, with no prepayment penalty. Early repayment also helps build your credit history with MoneyTap, which can increase your future credit limit.
What happens if I miss a payment or pay late? +
If you miss the due date, a late payment fee is applied per day until the outstanding amount is cleared. The exact late fee is disclosed in your loan agreement before you accept the loan. MoneyTap follows ethical, SECP-compliant collection practices — there are no abusive calls, no contacting your friends or family, and no public shaming.

Privacy & Data Security

Is my personal data safe with MoneyTap? +
Yes. All personal data is encrypted in transit and at rest. MoneyTap complies with the Personal Data Protection Ordinance (PDPO) 2023 of Pakistan. The platform never sells customer data to third parties, and access is restricted to authorized personnel for loan processing only.
Does MoneyTap access my contacts or photos? +
No. MoneyTap does not request access to your phone contacts, gallery, photos, or messages for loan processing. The only permissions needed are camera (for CNIC photo verification) and notifications. Any data collected is used solely for fraud prevention and credit assessment.

How can I file a complaint about MoneyTap? +
You can file a complaint directly through the in-app support, by emailing complaints@money-tap.com, or by writing to ZANDA Financial Services. As a SECP-licensed NBFC, MoneyTap is also subject to SECP's complaint resolution mechanism, which you can access via secp.gov.pk.
